Type Locality and Naming
By the Sardoba elevation, Western Uzbekistan. O.S. Vyalov, 1947 (158, p.133).
Synonym: Sardobin Suite, Сардобинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
I.S. Suleymanov identified three sub-suites.
Upper - variegated conglomerates, gravelites, clays, siltstone (aleurolites). Thickness 24-30m.
Middle - gray, bright-red sandstones with layers of clays, siltstone (aleurolites), with lenses of conglomerates. Thickness 25-30m.
Lower - red with layers of gray clays, siltstone (aleurolites), sandstones, gravelites Thickness 5-50m.
Relationships and Distribution
Lower contact
The suite transgressively overlies the Paleozoic and Jurassic
Upper contact
It is overlain with erosion by the Azkamar Fm.

Middle – Contains foraminifera - Astocolus doriphorus (Chelil.), Sornayina obscura Suleim.; ostracods - Orthonotacythere ramulosa Sharap., Asciocythere cf. parabrevis Andrv. et Oertli.
